Scholz v. Tom James Company

Becerra Law Firm is currently prosecuting a putative class action against custom clothing manufacturer and retailer, Tom James Company, on behalf of all current and former California-based salespersons employed from January 2009 to the present for failure to pay all wages due, failure to reimburse salespersons for incurred business expenses (i.e. parking fees, mileage, cellphone use, etc.), unlawful deductions from earned wages (i.e. deductions for use of ipads, required purchase of Tom James clothing by employees, etc.), failure to pay all wages due of terminated employees; forced patronage (i.e. forcing employees to purchase Tom James clothing); illegal record keeping; and violations of unfair competition laws.  The lawsuit was filed on January 16, 2013 in the Los Angeles County Superior Court and is entitled Scholz v. Tom James Company, Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. BC499218.
