Becerra Law Firm is currently prosecuting a putative class action against retailer Stein Mart, Inc., on behalf of all current and former California-based Assistant Store Managers (“Assistant Managers”) employed from April 23, 2000 to the present for failure to pay all wages due (overtime worked by Assistant Managers, etc.), failure to provide meal periods, failure to provide rest breaks, failure to pay all wages due to terminated employees, failure to provide legally adequate itemized wage statements, and violation of unfair competition laws.  The lawsuit was filed on April 23, 2014 in the Los Angeles County Superior Court and is entitled Ortega v.
